Alone?

Jeremiah 23:23-24
"Am I only a God nearby,' declares the Lord, 'and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?' declares the Lord. 'Do not I fill heaven and earth?' declares the Lord."

Have you ever felt like you were alone in this world?  All was against you and there was nobody there to help?  I am sure the apostle John felt this way while he was exiled on "an island called Patmos".  When he penned Revelation He had to specify where he was because it was such a lonely, desolate, rocky place.  Yet in this place in Rev. 1:9-10, while in the Spirit he heard a voice behind him that was none other than our Lord, Jesus.  Even in the dire circumstances that John found himself in, the Lord was using that time to do something much greater than what John probably had been able to comprehend or imagine.  And He will do the same in us and through us no matter where we find ourselves as we trust in Him!

So if you find yourself in a lonely, dry and weary place like Washington, Rome, Paris or where you are now, know that He is there.   Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 promise us that He will never leave us nor forsake us!   What a comfort to know that He will see us through all things as we trust in His strength!   (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
REFERENCE:
Rev. 1:9-10 – I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,…….

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5 – Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”
